Maybe the decision of a Minister's brother to import 40 truckloads of beer from Andhra Pradesh made the liquor retailers think twice about their strike till after the elections.
We learned of the 40 truckloads of beer in cartons from a highly agitated Mickky Pacheco of Goa Vikas Party who accused the Election Commission of siding with the Congress and not questioning the person behind the 40 beer laden trucks.
After Adv Aires Rodrigues lodging a complaint against casinos and starred hotels flouting the rules regarding timing of sale of booze, had all the casino operators call a hurried Press conference to wring their hands over the huge losses they will suffer and are already suffering.
The Election Commission says it will think about reviewing its order. |
