It was a Hungarian rhapsody for Yolanda Sousa Kammermeier. She attended The International Artists camp organized by The Artist Colony of Hajduboszormeny, Hungary on invitation and was honoured with an award for Creative Excellence. The award carries a certificate, a medal, a cash prize and an automatic invite for next year’s camp.
There were three awards up for grabs. The first went to Tibor Budahazi from Hungary who wins the right to have a solo show at the opening of next year’s camp. The Third was won by Zsuzsa Gajdan also from Hungary.
The 15-day camp came to an end with an Exhibition of works created at the camp and the awards were declared at a glittering function organized to open it. There were 15 participant from seven nations, including Romania, Greece, Croatia, Russia, Ukraine and India besides Hungary. The Artists’ Colony of Hajduboszorememy, Hungary has a 48-year long history and its directorial Board includes artist, art critics, curators and art promoters. The cam was held from July 9 – 22 2011.
